About GroceryAI
GroceryAI is a weekly editorial product for Toronto households that cook most of their meals at home. Every Wednesday night, we read every flyer from No Frills, Walmart, Food Basics, and Metro, and build the smartest coherent meal plan we can from this week's actual deals.
We don't optimize for the absolute cheapest grocery basket. We optimize for a plan you'll actually follow — narrative-coherent, single-store when possible, recipes that make sense together. The result is usually $30–$50 less than autopilot shopping, in 30 minutes of reading instead of two hours.
Email subscribers get a 30-second preview Thursday morning. The full plan, deal browse, and shopping breakdown live here on the web.
How this is different from Flipp
Flipp is a flyer aggregator. We take the same flyer data, normalize it, rank it editorially, and build a plan around it. Flipp tells you what's on sale. We tell you what to do about it.
How this is different from a meal kit
Meal kits cost $10–15 per serving. Cooking from this week's flyer deals costs $2–4 per serving. You buy your own groceries, cook your own meals. We just compress the planning.
Who runs this
Solo operator in Toronto. The pipeline is automated; the editorial judgment isn't.
